NEW all in one Deb SunPROTECT
During the summer months it is vital you are aware of the risks of solar radiation and skin cancer for outdoor workers. Did you know seven people die every day of skin cancer in the UK?
All employers have a duty of care to assess health risks at work. UV is a known carcinogen and is therefore an occupational hazard for people who work outside. Outdoor workers have a higher risk of developing skin cancer, so it is essential that employees are aware of the risks and how to avoid them.
Deb is committed to help raise awareness of this issue and have developed a new SunPROTECT Skin Safety Centre that educates employers and employees on WHY, HOW and WHEN outdoor workers need to protect themselves from the sun.
The board contains key facts and statistics on skin cancer and is pre-assembled with a Deb SunPROTECT 1 litre lockable dispenser and a mirror to assist with sun screen application. The board also includes a holder and cards to display the daily UV index level, which provides a clear indication of when outdoor workers need to protect themselves for their specific locations: based on guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation in 2005, protection from the sun is required as soon as the UV Index reaches 3.
Deb Sun PROTECT is a SPF30 sunscreen to protect the skin against the sun’s harmful UV-A (ageing) & UV-B (burning) rays. Perfume-free and non-greasy, its photostable formula contains moisturisers and is also water-resistant.
